Want to do something with that unsightly yard? Or maybe do a make over on an existing garden?

Where do we start?

Planning how your landscape will develop is central to the success of the project.

The finished project should incorporate the needs of the individual, the family unit, pets etc and at the same time be pleasing to the eye.

The landscape needs to ‘flow’ from one area to the next to create a sense of oneness.

Selecting the right materials in the landscape can make a huge difference to the feel. Keep materials, such as paving, retaining wall blocks etc, the same or similar throughout the landscape.

Too many different materials can make the project seem disjointed and areas ‘added on’.

A different or contrasting material can, however, be used successfully to create a focal point.

In most landscapes only one focal point is needed and may be in the form of a simple statue, a water feature or a feature wall of stone.
